Technical overview
- Runs on
- Windows laptops and desktops. The 3D visualiser uses hardware-accelerated OpenGL.
- DMX output
- Art-Net and sACN (E1.31) at a steady 44 fps, and FT232R USB-DMX. Universes are enabled per protocol.
- Programming
- A console-style command line and a full graphical desk, kept in sync. Tracked cue lists with parts, follows and blocks.
- Fixtures
- 400+ bundled profiles with 3D models, GDTF import, and a fixture editor that reaches the whole profile.
- Web Remote
- A browser page served to any phone, tablet or laptop on the same network: playback, faders and XYZ targets.
- Showfiles
- One .lmx file per show, with autosave and a rotation of timestamped backups.
- Price
- Free while LMX is in beta, with real DMX output and no fixture limit. Planned prices after beta (planned, subject to change): Pro £299 once or £19 a month; Education £19 per seat, one-time.
